The Met Office forecasts foggy conditions throughout the country’s regions this week.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), sustained dry weather has caused the fog to develop in the northeast and southern regions of Punjab, the plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh.
PMD indicated that these circumstances are anticipated to persist throughout the week, particularly at night and in the morning.
The Met Office, Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir, North Balochistan, and portions of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa might see extremely cold weather.
“Foggy weather may impact traffic, and the air quality may be hazardous for vulnerable individuals,” PMD cautioned.
Due to low visibility caused by fog, travelers have been encouraged to exercise caution to avoid any unpleasant occurrences.
Several regions of the country used to have fog in early winter, but in recent years, Lahore and the surrounding area have been severely afflicted by smog and pollution. Persistent smog and air pollution reduce visibility and contribute to hygiene problems.
