Mehmood Mandiwala has been elected chairman of the Law Conference of South Asian Association for Regional Corporation (SAARC).
He would assume responsibilities for two years. The post is usually assigned to chief justices of the member countries but it is the first time a senior lawyer has been elected as chairman of the body.
