The rescheduled date for the 2024 Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) retake in Sindh. The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Sukkur will administer the retake on Sunday, December 8.

Sources have confirmed that IBA Sukkur has finalized preparations for the MDCAT. Three centres will be established in Karachi to ensure a smooth examination process, with additional centres in Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Larkana, and Nawabshah.

On October 26, the Sindh High Court (SHC) invalidated the initial MDCAT 2024 and mandated a retake within a month. The court’s decision followed findings from an investigative committee that confirmed the test system had been compromised.

The SHC ordered a retest, noting agreement from Sindh government representatives, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), and Dow University on the necessity of this measure.

The court directed the provincial government and relevant secretaries to organize the retake within a month, adhering to PMDC guidelines.
