A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) graduate Hafiz Muhammad Waleed Malik from Ameeruddin Medical College Lahore set a new record by securing 29 gold medals during his academic career.
The previous record was held by a King Edwards medical college MBBS student who won 23 gold medals.
“Initially, I struggled, but with time and effort, I eventually succeeded.”
The criterion for receiving a gold medal is achieving more than 85 percent, the highest number, or the highest rank each semester.
In an interview with ARY News, Waleed’s father expressed his joy and said, “All of my children have won medals, but Waleed has won the most from the start.”
Hafiz Muhammad Waleed Malik received 29 medals, Muhammad Shiraz received 21 medals, and Dr. Asma received 10 medals at the Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) convocations and Ameeruddin Medical College Lahore.
