Former NFL offensive lineman Matt Kalil has filed a lawsuit against his ex-wife, Haley Baylee, after she made viral remarks about their marriage during a livestream. The legal action, first reported by TMZ, claims the comments subjected Kalil and his family to unwanted public scrutiny. It also claims emotional distress.

The lawsuit was filed on Tuesday and stems from a Twitch livestream aired in November 2025. During the broadcast, Baylee said the size of Kalil’s anatomy was “the biggest factor” behind their divorce in 2022. Kalil, now 36, argues that the remarks were degrading, deeply personal, and never meant for public consumption.

According to court filings, Kalil says the viral nature of the comments triggered invasive online attention. It also sparked disturbing messages, including ones directed at his current wife, Keilani Asmus. He claims this attention caused lasting discomfort for his family. It also harmed his personal privacy.

Kalil is seeking damages in excess of $75,000. The lawsuit cites invasion of privacy and unjust enrichment. It alleges that Baylee financially benefited from the viral attention by increasing traffic to her social media and other online platforms.

The filing states that the remarks damaged Kalil’s reputation and extended beyond him, affecting those close to him. Kalil maintains that private marital issues were turned into a public spectacle without his consent.

Baylee Responds to Legal Action

Baylee responded to the lawsuit in a statement to Page Six, saying she was shocked and hurt by the filing. She said the full livestream remains available on YouTube and includes positive remarks about Kalil throughout the discussion.

She added that the conversation covered many aspects of their relationship, including shared love and emotional depth. She noted that only a small portion of the nearly 90-minute livestream was amplified online. Baylee argued that the viral clips distorted the broader context of her comments.

The controversy escalated after Baylee described Kalil’s anatomy as being rare. This prompted widespread discussion across social media platforms. Baylee, a former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, has said the focus on that single remark misrepresents the intent and scope of the original conversation.

Kalil and Baylee met after he was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 2012 and married in Hawaii in 2015. Their marriage ended in May 2022, when Baylee filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.

As the case progresses, it underscores the growing legal and personal risks associated with viral content. It also highlights the ongoing tension between public platforms, personal privacy, and the lasting impact of online statements on private lives.
