A Massachusetts woman, Christine Wilson of Attleborough, has remarkably won two million-dollar lottery prizes in less than ten weeks.
As reported by Fox News, Wilson first struck it rich in February with a win from the “Lifetime Millions” $50 instant ticket game, according to a press release from the Massachusetts Lottery. She continued her winning streak by securing another grand prize from the “100X Cash” $10 instant ticket game shortly afterwards.
She opted for a lump sum payment for both prizes, totalling $650,000 before taxes for each.
Wilson purchased a new sport utility vehicle (SUV) with her initial winnings. She plans to save her most recent winnings and deposit them into her bank account.
Her lucky “100X Cash” ticket was bought at Family Food Mart on East Street in Mansfield, which earned a $10,000 bonus for selling the grand prize ticket. Similarly, Dub’s Discount Liquors in Mansfield received a $10,000 bonus after selling her the first winning ticket.
The “100X Cash” instant game now has only three of its ten-million-dollar prizes.
Since its inception in 1972, the Massachusetts Lottery has generated $149 billion in revenue, distributed more than $105 billion in prizes, and contributed over $32 billion in net profits to the Commonwealth, providing unrestricted local aid to various cities and towns.
