Consumers have received good news: The price of Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) has dropped by Rs 20 per kilogram. This price cut lowers the cost from Rs 300 to Rs 280 per kg, offering considerable relief to households and businesses dependent on LPG.
Irfan Khokhar, Chairman of the LPG Distribution Association, confirmed the decrease. He noted that domestic cylinders are now Rs 230 cheaper and commercial cylinders Rs 900 cheaper.
Future Expectations and Market Impact
Khokhar also suggested potential further reductions in the next 48 hours. He linked this positive shift to improved Pakistan-Iran relations, which have disrupted the plans of “gas mafias.” These developments have led to speculation about an international drop in LPG prices.
This price reduction reflects the government’s efforts to ease inflationary pressures on the public. As consumers express relief, attention turns to the possibility of sustained lower LPG prices. Analysts believe this trend could positively impact the broader energy sector, potentially leading to a more stable and affordable energy supply.
