Maheen Faisal, a woman implicated in the assault case against former Chief Justice of Pakistan, Qazi Faez Isa, publicly refuted all accusations against her.
In a recent video statement, Maheen Faisal denied her involvement in the incident occurred in London, disassociating herself from the charges brought against her by Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
Faisal asserted she was not present in London during the attack as she had relocated to Dubai almost one and a half years ago following her marriage. She described the allegations as baseless and expressed her condemnation of the assault. Faisal emphasized, “I was not in London at the time, and my connection to this case is entirely unfounded.”
Additionally, Faisal highlighted the personal toll the accusations have taken, citing harassment of her family members in Pakistan. Notices bearing her name have reportedly been affixed to her relatives’ residences, which she described as distressing. “This entire situation has been a profound shock to me,” Faisal explained. She stressed her commitment to maintaining her country’s dignity and categorically denied any involvement in the alleged incident.
Faisal concluded her statement by urging the judicial system to respect the factual narrative and to dismiss the charges against her. “I am hopeful that the courts will honour the truth and clear my name of all charges,” she stated.
