Apple has introduced a new, lower-cost laptop aimed at widening access to macOS. The MacBook Neo’s price and specs are drawing attention because it starts at $599, making it Apple’s cheapest laptop to date.
Unveiled on March 4, MacBook Neo pairs a durable aluminium build with Apple silicon, a 13-inch Liquid Retina display, and a focus on everyday performance for students and budget buyers.

MacBook Neo features a 13-inch high-resolution Liquid Retina display with 500 nits of brightness and support for up to 1 billion colours.
It runs on the A18 Pro chip. Apple claims it is 50% faster for everyday tasks and 3x faster for on-device AI workloads compared with a best-selling PC with an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor (as stated in the source).

Battery life is rated up to 16 hours, designed to cover a full day of work, study, or entertainment on a single charge. Other key features include:
