Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) have decided to demolish illegal offices of People’s Aman Committee, illegally constructed in different areas of Karachi.

According to sources, the details of illegal offices of the Lyari Aman Committee have been collected.

Illegal offices of the Aman Committee are constructed in Lyari, Yousuf Goth, Malir, Old Golimar, Mawach Goth, Gulbahar, Ilyas Goth, Alfalah road, Singo Lane,  Sarbazi Mohalla, Saeedabad and Ali Muhammad.

Sindh government had declared People’s Aman Committee a banned organization in 2011.

The Lyari Aman Committee was banned under Clause (11/B) of Anti-terrorism Act 1997. The committee had been barred from pursuing any political/social activities at all.

Also, authorities concerned have demolished over 100 illegal offices of MQM in Karachi and also in the interior Sindh. One Pakistan People’s Party office was also razed in the drive against unlawful constructions.
