Marketing companies have reduced the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs10 per kg as a result of the grand operation launched by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) against LPG marketing companies.
The price of domestic cylinder has decreased by Rs100 and commercial cylinder by Rs350, LPG Distributors Association Chairman Irfan Khokhar said yesterday.
In Karachi, the price of domestic cylinder would be Rs1,270 and Rs110 per kg. In Lahore, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Hyderabad and Sukkur, the price of domestic cylinder would be Rs1,450 and one kg at Rs125.
The LPG domestic cylinder in Mirpur, Multan, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Kohat, Peshawar and Bannu would be sold for Rs1,510 and one kg at Rs130. In Rawalpindi and Islamabad, the price of domestic cylinder had come down to Rs1,690 and one kg at Rs145.
“After the decrease of LPG prices in international market, local producers are still not reducing the prices and earning unjustified profit,” said Khokhar.
