PTI chairman, Imran Khan has made it clear to the Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan that the Azadi march will take place “at all cost” and he vowed that PTI is not going to back out from it.
After all the efforts by the government had failed to prevent Imran Khan from the long march, this time the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan was tasked to pacify the PTI chief, who telephoned the latter and tried to convince him from leading the march.
Imran Khan stood firm on his decision and clearly refused the Interior Minister, saying that the independence march will take place on August 14, come what may.
Meanwhile, PTI spokesperson, Shireen Mazari denied any such contact between the party chief and the Federal Interior Minister. She stated that there is no back-door channel existing between the PTI and the Government of Pakistan, nor was any contact made since Eid ul Fitr to-date.
On the other hand, chief coordinator of the independence march, Saifullah said telephonic contact between Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Imran is a routine matter.
“Both are good friends and such contacts between them are quite old”, said the coordinator.
