Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has criticized the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (N) (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif in Shahdadpur Jalsa amid political Parties in Pakistan are intensifying their campaigns, highlighting promises and past successes.
In the latest speech, Bilawal declared the PPP’s readiness for the polls and mocked Nawaz Sharif, likening him to a timid lion dependent on others.
Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari levelled serious accusations against the PML-N for engaging in politics that he believes are detrimental to Pakistan. “Nawaz’s focus seems solely on attaining the prime ministerial position, while our concerns center around addressing the economic crisis, inflation, and unemployment plaguing the nation,” he stated.
Bilawal criticized the PML-N’s governance, alleging that their time in power consistently harms public interests. “The tiger, symbolic of the PML-N, is akin to a force that drains the nation and its people. The upcoming general elections will essentially be a face-off between the PPP and the PML-N,” he asserted.
Bilawal questioned the wisdom of granting Nawaz another chance after multiple failed tenures, highlighting the urgency for fresh, young leadership in Pakistan. He committed to implementing the PPP’s ten-point manifesto should he be elected prime minister.
He urged a strong PPP vote on February 8 for nationwide representation. Bilawal promised vigorous public welfare initiatives with a PPP majority.
Bilawal recalled PPP’s previous local election successes, contrasting its manifesto-driven campaign with others’ self-interest. He outlined PPP’s economic plan, including income boosts, expanded BISP coverage, solar power benefits, and women’s interest-free loans.
Recalling his 18-month federal tenure, Bilawal lamented the misuse of public funds. He pledged to cut 17 ministries and elite subsidies, redirecting savings to public projects.
He expressed confidence in becoming prime minister post-election, urging PPP candidates to prioritize national service.
