Linkin Park has officially announced Emily Armstrong, Dead Sara’s lead vocalist, as their new co-vocalist. The reveal occurred at a Thursday live event, marking Colin Brittain’s introduction as the new drummer. Brittain has collaborated with artists like G Flip and One OK Rock. Together, they debuted “The Emptiness Machine,” the band’s first single in seven years and the lead track from their upcoming album, “From Zero,” set for a November 15 release via Warner Records.
“From Zero” will be Linkin Park’s first full album since 2017’s “One More Light,” released shortly before Chester Bennington’s tragic passing. Reflecting on the band’s evolution, Mike Shinoda mentioned, “Our first band name was Xero. The new album title acknowledges our beginnings and the new paths we are forging. It captures our past, present, and future in sound and emotion.”
The lineup includes Armstrong and Brittain alongside veteran members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix, and Joe Hahn. Their “From Zero” world tour starts on September 11, 2024, in Los Angeles, visiting major cities like New York, London, and Seoul.
Shinoda shared his enthusiasm about the refreshed lineup, noting, “This new lineup brings a fresh, dynamic energy that invigorates our music.” Fan club members can buy pre-sale tour tickets starting September 6, with the general sale commencing September 7.
Earlier this year, Linkin Park released “Papercuts (Singles Collection 2000-2023),” a compilation of hits like “In the End” and “Numb/Encore.”
