At least six terrorists were killed on Wednesday after a gunfight with security troops during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Datta Khel district of North Waziristan.
According to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) release, the terrorists’ weapons and ammo were also located.
The ISPR said, “Terrorists continued to participate in terrorist acts against security personnel and civilians aggressively.”
The assertion stated, “Locals praised the security forces’ response and voiced their support for eliminating the threat of terrorism in the region.
The troops also recovered weapons and ammunition from the murdered terrorists, according to the statement, which added that the slain terrorists were still engaged in terrorist actions against security personnel and people.
Last week, during an IBO conducted by security forces in North Waziristan, one terrorist was eliminated. Following a prolonged firefight, the terrorist was gunned down.
