A video has surfaced showing Afghan Taliban commander Yahya inciting violence against Pakistan’s security forces.
In the lead video addressing terrorists from the Hafiz Gul Bahadur group, a faction of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), he was filmed planning an assault at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border area of Dangar Algad.
Yahya, affiliated with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Afghanistan (TTA), instructed militants to prepare for revenge against Pakistan, mentioning the deployment of six rocket launchers and their operators under the command of “Mujahideen Amirul Momineen Sheikh Abdullah.” The footage captures the terrorists’ agreement to combat Pakistan.
The Taliban administration in Afghanistan has remained silent on the video, which emerges amidst strained Kabul-Islamabad relations due to allegations of Afghan territory being used for attacks against Pakistan.
On March 18, Pakistani forces executed intelligence-based operations in Afghanistan, targeting militants attacking from across the border in response to a deadly assault in North Waziristan’s Mir Ali on March 16, which resulted in the deaths of seven Pakistan Army personnel.
Amid these tensions, Pakistan’s Foreign Office declared the Pak-Afghan border “stable and peaceful,” emphasizing ongoing dialogue with Kabul for a joint anti-terrorism strategy and respect for Afghanistan’s sovereignty.
