The interim government has hiked a petrol price increase of Rs13.55 per litre and a Rs2.15 rise for high-speed diesel (HSD).
The recent increase in fuel prices is a response to the escalating conflict in the Middle East, particularly Israel’s continued military actions in Gaza. The revised petroleum product prices will be implemented starting at midnight on February 1.
According to the notification, petrol prices will reach Rs272.89 per litre effective February 1.
The Government of Pakistan has opted to adjust petroleum product prices for the fortnight beginning February 1, 2024, following recommendations from OGRA,” stated the Finance Division.
