The Lahore High Court has constituted a larger bench to adjudicate the appeal against Imran Khan’s disqualification in the Toshakhana case and the withdrawal of the electoral symbol (bat) from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Details reveal that the court has scheduled a hearing for the appeal lodged by Imran Khan, the founder of PTI, who seeks to overturn his disqualification and the revocation of PTI’s electoral symbol in the Toshakhana case.
Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court has designated a five-member bench led by Justice Shams Mahmood Mirza to preside over the case. The bench comprises Justice Jawad Hassan, Justice Shahid Karim, Justice Rasal Hussain, and Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry.
The hearing by the five-member larger bench is set to commence on June 20. This development follows the dissolution of the previous bench assigned to this case after Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan was nominated to the Supreme Court.
