An anti-terrorism court in Lahore has mistakenly issued arrest warrants for Latif Rafiq, a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) worker who passed away on April 28, 2024.
Despite his demise, the court has ordered his arrest in the Jinnah House case, where he was named as a suspect. This oversight has raised concerns regarding administrative errors within the judicial process.
Additionally, on February 21, 2024, the same court granted post-arrest bail to 29 other PTI workers involved in the May 9 riots. Judge Naveed Iqbal approved the bail petitions, requiring each suspect to post surety bonds of Rs100,000.
