Lady Gaga is poised to enter the gaming scene as the marquee feature of the forthcoming Fortnite Festival, starting February 22.
Lady Gaga is renowned for chart-toppers such as “Born This Way” and “Just Dance,” her tracks will transform into playable Jam Tracks within the game, creating an interactive stage mirroring her “Chromatica” album.
For enthusiasts eager to elevate their Gaga gaming journey, the Premium Reward Track is available for 1,800 V-Bucks, offering access to exclusive content, including the “Poker Face” song, Gaga-inspired attire like the Enigmatic Gaga Outfit by celebrity designer Nange Magro, and bespoke instruments. The free track also presents new jam tracks, an aura, and two fresh emotes for all players.
Moreover, the Fortnite item shop will feature Gaga-themed merchandise, including the Chromatica Armor Outfit by Cecilio Castrillo, and additional items like the Chromatica Bass, Chromatica Mic, “Stupid Love” Jam Track, and Rain Check emote.
This venture positions Lady Gaga as Fortnite Festival’s second headline act, succeeding The Weeknd’s inaugural appearance in late 2023. This collaboration coincides with Disney’s significant investment in Epic Games, Fortnite’s developer.
Disney’s CEO, Bob Iger, disclosed a $1.5 billion investment in Epic Games, highlighting a strategic move into gaming. “Through our strategic partnership with Epic Games, maker of Fortnite, Disney has not only invested $1.5 billion for a minority stake but is also crafting an expansive Disney universe,” Iger stated in a CNBC interview.
With Lady Gaga’s integration into Fortnite and Disney’s hefty Epic Games investment, the gaming industry is set for an unprecedented convergence of music, gaming, and entertainment, promising a captivating and immersive Fortnite experience.
