Stung by criticism against the “VIP” culture Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak today issued new protocol guidelines for ministers and MPAs to receive PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

In a letter written to party’s MPAs and coalition partners, Khattak barred PTI’s members of the assembly and ministers from receiving Imran Khan at Peshawar airport. Ministers and MPS will remain in their offices, he said.

He said that relevant ministers and officials would meet Imran Khan only in official functions.

“We must bring change within ourselves first to be able to build ‘Naya’ Pakistan,” he added.

The guidelines came a day after Imran Khan wrote a letter to Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and reiterated the party’s policy against the prevailing VIP culture.

Khan drew a lot of media criticism this week after he led an entourage of 21 vehicles to visit terror-hit Army Public School in Peshawar this week.
