The KPK government has completed the divided the province into 3,493 village and councils as the government plans to hold local government election in April 2014.
Under the Local Government Act, 2013, creation of village and councils is mandatory for local bodies’ elections.
The LG&RDD (Local Government and Rural Development Department) of KPK has already received reports from the districts about the details of the village and councils.
The delimitation process was started on December 1, 2013.
