Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has launched the KP petrol subsidy scheme under the Ehsaas Fuel Support Programme, offering Rs2,000 in monthly petrol support to motorbike users across the province. The initiative aims to provide financial relief to the public, especially as rising inflation continues to pressure low-income groups.
Under the scheme, registered owners of motorcycles and scooters will receive the monthly subsidy if they meet the provincial government’s eligibility requirements.
Applicants must own a motorcycle or scooter registered in their own name to qualify for the subsidy. They must also have complete transfer documentation if ownership has changed.
The government will not accept applications for unregistered vehicles or for vehicles that remain registered in another person’s name. That means ownership records must be complete and accurate before applying.
How to apply through the Dastak App
Applicants must register via the Dastak App, available on both the Play Store and the App Store. After creating an account, users need to enter their vehicle registration number and chassis details.
They must also provide personal details, including their name, father’s name, CNIC number, registered mobile number, and address, before submitting the application. Registration for the scheme will begin on April 6.
Documents required for the Ehsaas Program fuel subsidy
To complete the application, users must upload several documents. These include the front and back of their CNIC, the vehicle registration book or smart card, and a clear image of the vehicle.
If the motorcycle or scooter has changed ownership, both the buyer and seller must provide verification as part of the process. Incomplete transfer records will lead to rejection.

Authorities will verify applications through e-Sahulat and then send them to the Excise and Taxation Office for further scrutiny. Officials will approve or reject applications after completing that review.
The government has also warned that incorrect information or incomplete paperwork will result in rejection. Applicants with transferred vehicles must make sure both parties complete the required verification.
