Kim Kardashian has issued a Kim Kardashian sworn denial in the legal battle with Ray J, rejecting claims that she and Kris Jenner planned the commercial release of the sex tape involving her and Ray J.
According to TMZ, Kardashian and Jenner filed declarations under oath on March 11 denying the accusations at the centre of the defamation dispute.
The case stems from a lawsuit filed by Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner against Ray J in October 2025. They accused him of defamation after he alleged they colluded with producers to release the tape and misled the public about it.
Kim Kardashian Sworn Denial Rejects Ray J’s Claims
In the reported filing, Kardashian said Ray J’s allegation that she, her mother and others planned the tape’s release, defrauded the public and filed a fake lawsuit to create buzz was false. TMZ also reported that Jenner separately accused Ray J of causing deep pain and publicly terrorising her daughter over the issue.

Ray J, however, has continued to dispute their version of events. He previously pushed back against the defamation suit and later filed a countersuit, arguing that Kardashian and Jenner violated a non-disclosure agreement related to the tape.
Sonja Norwood Challenges The Kardashian-Jenner Account
Ray J’s mother, Sonja Norwood, publicly responded after the declarations were reported. According to the source text, she questioned who orchestrated the release, given that Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian now say they did not. Her statement signalled that she no longer wanted to remain silent while her son faced online criticism.
That response added a new public layer to an already high-profile dispute. It also kept attention on the central question of who was responsible for the tape’s commercial release.

The case focuses on long-running claims tied to Kim Kardashian: Superstar, a 2007 Vivid Entertainment release. Vivid said at the time it had bought the footage from a third party for $1 million, while Kim Kardashian sued the company for invasion of privacy before later dropping the suit after a reported settlement.
Ray J has long maintained that the release was planned. Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner now say those claims are defamatory and false, while Ray J continues to challenge them in court.
