They also assessed the Peshawar–Dera Ismail Khan Motorway, and the Dir Motorway. The meeting finalized key directions to advance each project.

Swat Motorway Phase Two will span approximately 80 kilometres, connecting the Chakdara Interchange to Fatehpur. The project includes nine interchanges and seven bridges across the Swat River at multiple locations. It will significantly improve access to the upper Swat and adjacent regions.
Chief Minister Afridi also announced that the foundation stone for the Peshawar–D.I. Khan Motorway will be laid soon. The 365-kilometre-long motorway will feature 19 interchanges and two tunnels. Both the Swat Motorway Phase Two and the D.I. Khan Motorway are being developed under a public-private partnership model.
During the meeting, the government also took a principled decision to construct the Dir Motorway entirely through provincial funding. The chief minister directed officials to complete all legal and procedural requirements promptly so that on-ground work can begin.
He reaffirmed that the provincial government remains committed to improving infrastructure in remote and underserved areas. He stated that modern road networks play a vital role in promoting development, trade, and public welfare across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
