A controversial video showing dramatist Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar in compromising circumstances has surfaced online, sparking significant public and legal interest.
The video captures Khalil-ur-Rehman and a woman, purported to be Aamna Urooj, in a semi-nude state engaging in questionable behaviour, directly contradicting previous assertions that no explicit content existed.
According to sources, Khalil-ur-Rehman’s demands for stringent action against the suspects led to the video’s release. The main suspect, Hassan Shah, was arrested days before the video’s public emergence.

In an interview with the daily Urdu newspaper Jang, Khalil-ur-Rehman explained he was preparing to release another video to shed further light on the incident. This subsequent video shows Aamna Urooj setting up a hidden camera with an accomplice.
During a recent press conference with DIG Organized Crime Imran Kishore, Khalil-ur-Rehman initially denied the existence of any explicit videos. He later clarified that this denial was strategic, motivated by concerns for his family’s reaction. He insisted that his demeanour in the video, which he claims was filmed under duress at gunpoint, would validate his non-consent to the activities shown.

Aamna Urooj’s attorney, Saifullah Waraich, disputed her identification in the video, suggesting that Khalil-ur-Rehman might be mistaking her for someone else, given his alleged involvement with multiple women. Waraich has warned of potential legal action should Khalil-ur-Rehman continue to damage his client’s reputation.
The Organized Crime Unit spokesperson has confirmed an ongoing investigation into the video’s authenticity. They clarified that the leak did not originate from police custody but was likely disseminated by the suspects involved.
