Kevin Spacey fired at Guy Pearce over comments about their time filming L.A. Confidential. Pearce claimed Spacey “targeted” him on set.
In a video on X, Spacey called the accusations exaggerated and wondered why Pearce chose the press over a private talk.
In his X video, Kevin Spacey spoke directly to Pearce. “We worked together long ago. If I upset you, you could’ve contacted me,” he said. “Instead, you went public. My response? Grow up.” Spacey questioned Pearce’s motives, pointing to their history.
Pearce shared his story with The Hollywood Reporter. He described Spacey as “quite aggressive” during filming. He called his experience minor compared to other allegations, but Pearce felt singled out. Spacey countered this narrative with evidence of their later interactions.
Kevin Spacey recalled Pearce visiting him on the set of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil in Savannah, Georgia. “That doesn’t fit someone uneasy around me,” he argued. He also asked why Pearce waited nearly 30 years to speak up. Spacey offered a live X discussion, saying, “I’ve got nothing to hide.”
