Media personality and entrepreneur Kayla Nicole recently responded to comments from Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill about his favourite Kansas City restaurant.
Hill, a former Kansas City Chiefs teammate of Travis Kelce, recently did a rapid-fire interview with GQ magazine. He revealed an unexpected dining choice. When asked for his top restaurant in Kansas City, Hill did not choose a barbecue spot. Instead, he credited Popeyes’ fried chicken.
“Growing up, my whole entire life, that’s all my mom fed me was Popeye’s,” Hill told GQ. “That’s probably the secret ingredient to why I’m really fast.”
For Hill, the fast-food chain represents a nostalgic link to his childhood. However, Kayla Nicole disagreed with his view.
Nicole used her Instagram Stories to voice a different perspective. She emphasised the value of a home-cooked meal over fast food. “Nooooo, only a mothers home home-cooked meal can make greatness,” she wrote alongside an angry emoji. Her comment highlighted a belief that personal, home-cooked nutrition is the true foundation of athletic excellence.

Nicole’s social media commentary also extends to NFL fashion. She recently critiqued a new line of Nike footwear that departed from the brand’s classic design. She specifically commented on the cleats worn by Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow. During a preseason game, Burrow wore custom Air Jordan 1 Mid “Shattered Backboards” cleats that lacked the iconic Nike swoosh.
“The swoosh-less 1’s are upsetting me,” Nicole wrote on Instagram over a game photo of Burrow.
Kayla Nicole is known for more than her past relationship with Travis Kelce. She has built a successful career in media and business. Nicole graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in journalism. She has worked with major outlets like ESPN and Barstool Sports as a commentator and interviewer.
She now hosts her own podcast, “The Pre-Game With Kayla Nicole.” She also founded a wellness brand called Tribe Therep and has worked as a brand ambassador for Revolve and Savage X Fenty. Nicole continues to be a vocal and influential figure in the sports and pop culture landscape.
