The iconic duo Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan will star in Karan Arjun, returning to cinemas worldwide on November 22, 2024.
2024 continues to delight movie enthusiasts, with several iconic films returning to theatres. Rehnaa Hai, Tere Dil Mein, Veer Zaara, Tumbbad, and Laila Majnu are among them. Adding to this nostalgic revival, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan’s cult classic Karan Arjun, directed by Rakesh Roshan, will re-release on November 22.
Salman announced on Instagram, sharing memorable scenes from the 1995 film and referencing Raakhee’s famous line: “Raakhi ji ne sahi kaha tha film mein ki mere Karan Arjun aayenge …November 22 ko Duniya bhar ke cinema Sharon mein!”
Hrithik Roshan, an assistant director on the original film, also shared the announcement on his Instagram. His post read, “Cinema was never the same again… When Karan Arjun came together on the big screen for the first time. Re-live the reincarnation of Karan Arjun in theatres worldwide from 22nd November 2024!”
Karan Arjun narrates the story of two brothers, played by Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, who are murdered by their greedy uncle and reincarnated to avenge their father’s death. The film stars Raakhee as their devoted mother and features a strong supporting cast, including Kajol, Mamta Kulkarni, Amrish Puri, Johnny Lever, and Ranjeet. Rakesh Roshan directed and produced the film under his Film Kraft banner.
At the 41st Filmfare Awards, Karan Arjun received ten nominations and secured two awards: Best Editing and Best Action. The film was a significant commercial success and remains a milestone in the industry.
