Light to moderate rainfall is expected in Karachi from Thursday afternoon until the evening, according to a meteorological analyst.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department analyst said a western weather system is strengthening due to moisture from the Arabian Sea. This system is likely to affect weather conditions across the city.
Under its influence, Karachi may receive between 8 and 20 millimetres of rainfall on Thursday. The system could also bring a noticeable drop in temperature and changes in overall weather patterns.

From Friday onward, cold and fast-moving winds from Quetta are expected to reach the city. Wind speeds may range between 40 and 45 kilometres per hour, which could further intensify the cold.
Forecasters say colder-than-usual conditions may persist until Sunday. Residents should prepare for lower temperatures and strong winds over the next few days.
