Karachi is experiencing dry, cool, and dusty weather, with foggy, cold conditions in the early morning and at night, while daytime temperatures remain relatively warm.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department said the city recorded a minimum temperature of 18 degrees Celsius, with a maximum expected between 28 and 30 degrees Celsius.
Humidity levels remain high at around 90 per cent, contributing to persistent fog and reduced visibility in several areas. Northeastern winds are blowing at approximately four kilometres per hour, offering little relief from stagnant conditions. Visibility dropped sharply to just 97 metres as dense fog lingered across parts of the city.

In addition to weather concerns, Karachi’s air quality remains extremely unhealthy. The city ranked third globally on the air quality index today. Pollution levels reached 228 micrograms of particulate matter, well above safe limits, posing serious health risks to residents.
Experts attribute the worsening air quality to a combination of high moisture levels and a shift in wind direction. According to the Commission for Air Quality Management, these conditions prevent pollutants from dispersing and instead promote smog formation over urban areas.
Health officials continue to advise residents, especially children, the elderly, and those with respiratory conditions, to limit outdoor exposure during peak pollution hours. With calm winds and high humidity expected to persist, significant improvement in air quality remains unlikely in the short ter
