MQM announced “Day of Mourning” on Friday for extrajudicial killing of its four workers, who were killed with head-shot wounds. The bodies were found in Memon Goth a day earlier.

MQM leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui addressing a press conference at Nine-Zero on Thursday said

“We are going to stage a peaceful protest against the extrajudicial killings of our activists as we reserve the right to both protest and mourn the loss of our comrades”

According to MQM,  workers Muhammad Sameer, Ali Haider, Faisal, and Salman Qureshi were arrested in the jurisdiction of Gulzar-e-Hijri Police Station on April 13.

Mr. Siddiqui also said that “MQM workers are being targeted in the operation meant for the criminal elements. Ironically we were the biggest proponents of this operation, but our protagonism backfired”

He earnestly urged he human rights bodies to raise voice against these ‘extrajudicial killings’.
