Karachi: A Karachi Development Authority (KDA) officer was shot dead late Monday in Azizabad.
According to police sources, some unidentified criminals on motorbike opened reckless fire at a car passing through Azizabad-2, critically injuring Ashraf alias Achhu and his daughter.
Ashraf was Assistant Executive Engineer in the KDA. He was the trustee of Imambargah Sakeena.
Ashraf and his daughter were rushed to Liaquat National Hospital, where Ashraf succumbed to injuries. The girl has bullet injury at her leg.
According to SP Liaquatabad Tahir also confirmed that deceased was a KDA officer and the wounded little girl is his daughter.
According to police, 9mm gunshots were fired at the car.
