In a major development for Karachi’s electricity consumers, the power tariff will likely decrease by Rs 4.95 per unit.
K-Electric has submitted a formal request to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) seeking a reduction in electricity prices.
NEPRA is set to hold a hearing on K-Electric’s request for the monthly fuel adjustment for December 2024. If approved, the reduction in power tariff will provide a collective relief of Rs 4.94 billion to consumers, significantly easing the financial burden on households and businesses.
