Karachi police arrested a serving officer on Sunday, April 27, 2025, for allegedly stealing 125 motorcycles near the Civil Hospital.
Karachi Police officials confirmed that an officer stationed at the Garden Police Station was arrested by Eidgah Police during an operation to tackle vehicle thefts in the Eidgah area.
Investigators have revealed that the officer, a recent recruit living at the Garden headquarters, confessed to the September 2024 thefts. A theft case had already been registered at the Eidgah Police Station. The suspect has now been transferred to the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) for further investigation.

In related operations, police arrested two additional suspects, Salman Ishaq and Zain. Zain was linked to a Ramadan robbery at a cold drink depot, where he stole two mobile phones and Rs100,000 before fleeing. Salman Ishaq was accused of stealing a woman’s mobile phone.
Karachi police confirmed that investigations into all cases are ongoing. These arrests reflect the police’s efforts to combat the increasing theft and robbery in the city.
