Karachi Police has launched the “Police 15 Karachi” Android app to augment citizen convenience and enhance crime prevention in Karachi. The app, now available for download on mobile devices, was launched in a ceremony where DIG East Imran Yaqub provided an insightful briefing on its functionalities.

Additional IG Javed Alam Odho highlighted that the app allows for real-time location tracking of users during emergency calls, ensuring prompt police response. Additionally, the app facilitates citizens’ quick reporting of incidents, streamlining the process of requesting police assistance.

The “Police Helper” app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and offers an easy-to-use interface for effective communication with law enforcement.

On a related note, a recent incident occurred at Karachi’s Saddar mobile market, where civilians apprehended a suspected thief after attempting to steal a mobile phone. The accused was subjected to severe physical assault by the crowd before being handed over to the police. His accomplice managed to escape, and police are investigating the matter, including efforts to track down the fleeing accomplice and other related inquiries.
