Karachi police declared the Karachi downing case “A Murder,” and two suspects have been arrested for the murder of a Seaview girl who drowned.

In a press conference on Thursday, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) investigation South Zahida Parveen said the police arrested Shan Saleem, the animal hospital owner, and Waqas. However, Bisma, the third alleged facilitator, is still at large.

The SSP said Sarah Malik, a physiotherapist, worked at a veterinary hospital because she loved pets.

The SSP told reporters that Shan’s interrogation revealed important details about Sarah’s death.

The investigation includes other hospital staff. The police officer said the deceased was not sexually abused before her death and that the autopsy report would reveal further details and the cause of death.

According to the SSP, the hospital had no discipline, and the staff engaged in personal activities can be termed as more than a “friendship.”

During the briefing, Zahida Parveen said that Jamal called 15—the police helpline—to report the drowning of a girl on January 6.

The girl’s body was found with a bag, shoes, socks, and a hospital card, which helped identify her. “The body was not drenched in water, and there were marks on the face before the death.”

According to the initial autopsy report. The girl’s outfit resembled the caller’s on 15. She sat on the beach and cried for 15 minutes; she was chastised for calling 15″.

The SSP also said Jamal, the caller, was interrogated. The girl’s father had nominated the hospital doctor and Bisma. “Receptionist Iradhna was also investigated.”

She also said Shan confessed to the police he hid Sarah’s phone. ” Shan and his friend Waqas, who fed the animals, were found destroying evidence. Sarah’s hidden phone has been recovered and sent for forensics.”

The police officer said Shan appointed Sarah administrator after two years after her joining, which started their relationship.

Sarah, who ran the hospital, was furious when she allegedly learned about Shan and Bisma, who was hired a few months earlier.

SSP Parveen said the murder location is unknown.
