A Karachi-Lahore flight delay left around 180 passengers facing hours of uncertainty and frustration at Jinnah International Airport after a domestic flight to Lahore was postponed. The affected flight, PF-145, was originally scheduled to depart at 06:00 PM but was unable to depart on time due to a technical fault with the aircraft.
Passengers had received boarding cards nearly four hours before departure and were asked to wait in the domestic departure lounge. The group included elderly passengers, women and children, adding to concerns over the length of the delay.
According to the source, many passengers complained that airline staff did not clearly explain the reason for the delay or provide an updated departure time. That lack of communication appears to have deepened the frustration among travellers waiting at the airport.
Those who arrived between 04:00 PM and 05:00 PM said the delay lasted several hours. As time passed, complaints grew inside the domestic departure lounge.
The private airline’s flight PF-145 was delayed due to a technical fault with the aircraft. Later, an airline spokesperson described the issue as scheduled maintenance and said refreshments had been provided to passengers.
The airline also stated that the flight was expected to depart shortly, but did not specify an exact revised departure time.
