Batting first, the Kings scored 204 runs for 4 wickets, led by James Vince, who remained unbeaten with 65 runs off 47 balls. Khushdil Shah contributed a quick 33 runs off just 13 balls. The opening partnership between Tim Seifert (20 runs) and David Warner (30 runs) added a brisk 50 runs in just four overs. Following some early wickets, a crucial 78-run partnership between Vince and Irfan Khan Niazi, who scored 40 runs, helped stabilise the innings.
Chasing a target of 205, the Multan Sultans collapsed to 117 in just 16.1 overs. Skipper Mohammad Rizwan was dismissed for a duck, and Usman Khan managed only 1 run. Kamran Ghulam was the top scorer for the Sultans with 29 runs.
