Temperatures are predicted to range from 38°C to 40°C, with humidity at approximately 76%. At night, temperatures might be as low as 30.5°C.
Yesterday, temperatures felt like 51°C around 2 pm.
Sardar Sarfaraz, the Chief Meteorologist at PMD, stated that the heat will intensify in Karachi over the next three days due to halted sea breezes.
Health experts recommend avoiding outdoor food and drinks, boiling water before use, and increasing ORS and water intake to prevent dehydration.
Residents should stay indoors from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to minimize sun exposure. They should wear light, loose clothing and head coverings outdoors to mitigate heat risks.
The PMD has issued a heatwave alert, signalling extreme temperatures in southern Pakistan.
The Met Office reported that Karachi will experience hot, humid conditions for three days, with daytime temperatures between 38°C and 40°C.
In Hyderabad, Mirpur Khas, Umerkot, and Badin, temperatures may reach 44°C and 46°C.
Jacobabad, Dadu, Shikarpur, Larkana, Qambar Shahdadkot, and Shaheed Benazirabad are expected to face temperatures from 46°C to 48°C.
