The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) announced plans to install electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across key city roads.
Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab chaired a high-level meeting at KMC Head Office, directing departments to begin work immediately.
Charging stations will launch on:
- Shahrah-e-Faisal
- Dr Ziauddin Ahmed Road
- Stadium Road
KMC will provide land and resources for quick setup, promoting eco-friendly transport and reducing emissions. “This initiative builds a greener, smarter Karachi,” Mayor Wahab said. “It’s about shifting to sustainable alternatives. KMC will develop facilities using its own funds for fast implementation.”
