In Karachi, a vigilance and monitoring team of the Board of Intermediate Education in Karachi was robbed as they headed to the board office following the seizure of mobile phones used for cheating during examinations.

Details reveal that the Board of Intermediate Education in Karachi’s monitoring and vigilance team was attacked by street criminals right at the gate of its headquarters in Karachi.

Reports indicate that as the vigilance team arrived at the board office gate with mobile phones confiscated during exams, three assailants ambushed them. The thieves, who had been lying in wait, robbed the team at gunpoint. Notably, the security guards at the Inter Board Office gate failed to respond to the incident.

The Chairman of the Inter Board Office has since released a statement about the event, confirming that CCTV footage from the gate has been handed over to the police for investigation.

In a related incident in Shikarpur, police managed to rescue four hostages in a confrontation with bandits in a remote area. According to the police, the bandits were moving the hostages from one location to another when the police engaged them, forcing the bandits to flee and leave the hostages behind.

The police have launched a search operation to capture the escaped bandits.
