A Karachi court granted police a one-day physical remand of Sahir Hassan, son of actor Sajid Hassan, on February 23, 2025, linked to the Mustafa Amir murder case. Presented at the Central Jail Judicial Complex, police sought five days, but the judicial magistrate approved only one.
Sahir faces drug possession charges after authorities seized narcotics worth Rs50 million from him. The Specialised Investigation Unit (SIU) alleges he supplied drugs in upscale Karachi areas for two years, sourcing them from suppliers Bazil and Yahya. As a model and actor, his arrest has drawn attention.
Connection to Mustafa Amir’s Murder
Investigators tie Sahir to the murder through drug deals. He reportedly sold two grams of drugs to Mustafa Amir on credit on January 2, and later, on January 15, sold an ounce worth Rs350,000 to Armughan, the suspected killer and Shiraz. His role in the murder remains under scrutiny.
Sahir’s statements exposed a broader trafficking ring. SIU officials say the drugs, originating in Colombia, enter Pakistan via California, arriving in Islamabad and Lahore through couriers. Two brothers manage shipments via the dark web, and a cousin handles Karachi distribution.
