Winter made a sharp return to Karachi after brief rainfall pushed temperatures to their lowest levels of the season, according to official data.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department recorded a minimum temperature of 6.2°C at Jinnah Terminal, marking the coldest night of the current winter.
Meteorologists reported an overall citywide minimum average of 8.5°C, which stood 3.5°C below the seasonal norm. The sharp drop followed rain driven by an active westerly weather system affecting the port city.
