A fire at a Karachi chemical factory in the SITE area broke out on Tuesday near Valika Chowrangi, prompting an immediate emergency response. Rescue 1122 confirmed the incident and said teams rushed to the scene as soon as they received the report.
Officials dispatched a fire brigade truck along with rescue personnel to control the blaze. Authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the fire.
Meanwhile, Sindh Rangers also sent a contingent to assist in relief efforts. According to their spokesperson, Rangers personnel actively joined the fire brigade and rescue teams to support the ongoing operation.

Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab took immediate notice of the incident. In a statement on X, he said the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) fire team was attending to the factory fire in SITE Industrial Area.
He further directed all KMC departments to remain alert. Additionally, he instructed officials to use all available resources to control the situation. Water board authorities also received orders to take emergency measures.

“All possible steps should be taken to control the fire,” the mayor stated. He added that authorities would not compromise on human safety.
At the same time, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah directed Mayor Wahab and the commissioner to supervise the rescue operation. He also ordered an investigation into the cause of the fire.
The incident occurred just a day after another large fire erupted in the bushes near the University of Karachi. Authorities later brought that blaze under control.
