The Karachi Air Show is set to take place at Sea View Beach as part of the ongoing defence exhibition, IDEAS 2024. The event will feature live demonstrations by all three Pakistan armed forces branches, showcasing their professionalism and advanced military assets.
Highlights include a combat readiness display by the Pakistan Navy’s Sea King helicopters and a breathtaking aerial fly-past by the Pakistan Air Force’s JF-17 Thunder and F-16 jets. The elite Special Services Group (SSG) Commandos will also perform high-altitude jumps, demonstrating precision and rigorous training.
The show offers a unique opportunity for local and international dignitaries, including ambassadors and military attachés, to witness Pakistan’s defence capabilities firsthand. It aims to strengthen the synergy between military branches while promoting international cooperation and fostering national pride.

Yesterday, IDEAS 2024 introduced the Haadif Small Arms Simulator, designed to enhance soldier training and combat readiness. This cutting-edge simulator supports practice with various weapons, such as the G3 rifle, LMG, SMG, and pistols, improving accuracy and tactical skills across diverse terrains.
Colonel Tahir of the Pakistan Army highlighted the simulator’s ability to prepare soldiers for real-world challenges.
The 12th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS 2024), held from November 19-22, showcased Pakistan’s advancements in defence technology. The event hosted 224 local and 333 international companies, and 17 new countries participated.
Key exhibits included the Haider tank and Shahpar-3 drone, reflecting Pakistan’s progress towards self-reliance in military production and technology.
