Karachi Police’s Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) arrested Kamran Asghar Qureshi, father of Armaghan, in a drug trafficking case.
SSP Anil Haider Minhas reported that Kamran Qureshi was arrested in Defence Phase 5 and seized 200 grams of crystal meth, a 9mm pistol, two magazines, and 10 rounds of ammunition from the suspect. The police have charged Kamran under the Narcotics Act for possession of an unlicensed weapon.
Armaghan Qureshi, the son of Kamran, killed Mustafa Amir. Mustafa vanished from DHA on January 6, and his body was discovered 39 days later in Balochistan.

Armaghan was apprehended after a shootout and has been charged with murder under the influence of drugs. The arrest followed a violent dispute with Mustafa over connections in the cannabis trade. According to the charges, Armaghan assaulted Mustafa with an iron rod, restrained him, and, with the help of his accomplice Shiraz, burned his body in Hub.
Armaghan’s Father Arrest
Mustafa’s mother, Wajiha Amir, claims Kamran knew of the murder. “He told Armaghan to flee instead of acting,” she said. “Why isn’t he fully investigated?” The Kamran Qureshi arrest raises new questions.

Meanwhile, communications between Karachi Police’s ASI Nadeem and Armaghan have raised suspicions of obstruction, resulting in the suspension of three officers. Additionally, the Sindh High Court has identified irregularities in the handling of Armaghan’s case, further complicating the ongoing investigation.
