Sources told the major part of the breakdown was contributed by a fault at the Gulshan-e-Iqbal grid station, while the rest was caused by the tripping of a high-tension transmission line, which caused at least ten grid stations to go down.
A K-Electric spokesman while talking to media said “The grid station tripped off line closing down near 70 feeders. We are doing our best to fix it,”
