Justin Timberlake’s recent courtroom appearance in Sag Harbor has brought to light his conviction for driving while impaired. The singer initially refused a Breathalyzer test following his traffic stop.

Today, courtroom photos revealed Timberlake’s varied emotional responses as he dealt with the legal proceedings.

With his lawyer, Ed Burke Jr., Timberlake entered a guilty plea to a reduced charge of driving while ability impaired.

The court approved his plea deal, resulting in a sentence that includes 25 hours of community service, a fine of up to $500, and a 90-day suspension of his New York State driver’s license. Timberlake voiced his regret over the incident and his intent to rectify his actions.

Speaking to reporters after the hearing, Timberlake admitted his lapse in judgment. “I should have made a more responsible decision,” he acknowledged. He urged others to avoid driving after consuming alcohol, even minimally.

He expressed his appreciation for the support from the Sag Harbor community and the legal process, committing to help combat drunk driving and hoping his ordeal would educate others.

During the hearing, Timberlake conceded he had been drinking before his arrest, which marked a departure from earlier claims by his attorney. He pledged to use his experience as a platform to advocate for safe driving and public safety.

Timberlake’s court appearance marks a pivotal chapter in his legal narrative, focusing on community service and advocacy as he seeks to move past this incident and promote safe driving practices.
