Justin Timberlake makes a stylish comeback to the music world with his new single, “Selfish.”
Justin Timberlake’s new track offers a glimpse into his upcoming sixth studio album titled “Everything I thought it was,” though its release date remains undisclosed. Timberlake recently performed “Selfish” live in Memphis, with the studio version set for release on Friday, January 25.
The chorus of “Selfish” reveals a personal narrative, with lyrics expressing vulnerability and possessiveness: “So if I get jealous, I can’t help it, I want every bit of you, I guess I’m selfish. It’s bad for my mental health, but I can’t fight it.” Timberlake took to social media to announce the single’s release.
Additionally, a teaser on social media features a voiceover, adding intrigue with comments about a car model and a sunset before focusing on Timberlake himself. This album marks Timberlake’s return after a six-year hiatus following his 2018 “Man of the Woods.”
